My name is Shai Leavitt, and I am an aspiring filmmaker and cinematographer with a deep love for visual storytelling. I’ve always been drawn to the way films capture both reality and imagination and transform it into something tangible on screen.

My greatest passion lies behind the camera. I love shaping stories visually— crafting mood through lighting, guiding emotion through composition, and working with a team to bring the director’s vision to life. There is something truly powerful about translating human experience into images, and I am constantly inspired by the possibilities that cinematography offers.

I have served as Director of Photography on a few short films, as well as worked as Assistant Camera and other roles on other productions. Each set has helped shape my goals in filmmaking and helped deepen my understanding of collaboration, problem-solving, and the discipline required to create something meaningful.

As a student filmmaker, I am continually learning and refining my craft. I approach each new project with enthusiasm and the desire to grow. While I know there is still much to learn, I am excited to keep developing my voice and vision as a cinematographer and contributing to creating something incredible.
